As well as the shorter pieces, the catalogue of transcriptions includes an increasing number of longer works including sonatas by Beethoven and Mozart, sonatinas by Bartok and others, La lugubre Gondola by Liszt.
The decision about which works to transcribe is made for principled musical reasons rather than through a desire to shock or perform circus acts.
